 ALPHABETS Introduction to
young learners                                          Language is a system of sounds. A child even starts to listen sounds before birth in a mother’s womb. It is rather difficult for a mother to teach correct sounds of alphabets if English is not her native language, but it does not mean that we should give up.
For a body a soul is important, for a brain wisdom is important, similarly for a family a mother is important, not our kid. She is the Queen of a family who can achieve the task to build a child's strong base . Always remember, no relation is without hardship. My post is about how to train mothers to teach alphabets their kids at early age.  Check the list below and make sure that your child is ready to learn alphabets. Your child:
1- produces small words
2- recites some number names in sequence
3- repeats words or phrases.
Young learners’ attention span is short as it is all about 10 to 15 minutes only. In this short period they just absorb the most interested and attracted part of an activity and filter out small distractions. The best ways to introduce alphabets are:
a short story/ a rhyming poem with a code action. What is a code action ?It means an action( body language) that is related to a letter as it helps a child to memorize the letter. For example , put a hand on your mouth and take out the sound / mmmmm /of  letter   " m" .A simple rule( body language+ sound) should be followed to introduce alphabets.

The most important and leading point is to create interest otherwise their attention will be diverted.  We should know about their interest and must show our genuine interest whenever we interact with them, so that we can make an appropriate atmosphere for their learning and development. Some points to remember(in the process of teaching)  are :
  • your body language, face expressions, verbal expressions
  •  pictures/props/drawing
  • children learn through playing
  •  praise your child on her/his outdo in learning process
  • create curiosity in learning process
  • try to find ‘wow moments’ and celebrate them with clapping ,cuddling or kissing
  • a child’s interest
introduction of letter" m" with  a rhyming poem
